Esteemed members of One Rose for Michael J. Jackson. The journey of arising from the ashes and reforming this group and restrengthening the causes we believe in has been a long, hard effort, but we've made great strides in restoring this group's good name.

As many of you know, we've pulled through and thanks to Robyn, we've been able to continue our tradition of sending gorgeous, long-stemmed, freedom roses to Our Beloved Michael at Forest Lawn on June 25th.In 2010, the members of this group were able to shower Michael with 3,000 roses. Last year(2011), we filled Forest Lawn with 4,500 roses...this year, we'd love nothing more than to hopefully be able to shower Michael with even more beautiful roses.As a means to promote the purchasing of roses for Michael's anniversary, we have decided to hold a twitterthon on May 20, 2012.

The Michael Jackson Estate Takes on Tohme R. Tohme

Yesterday, the Michael Jackson Estate filed a lawsuit against MJ's former business manager Tohme R. Tohme.  As most fans remember, this elusive character popped up, out of nowhere, in MJ's circle at the beginning of 2008.

Until them, a complete unknown in the entertainment industry. 

For years, fans have been suspicious of this man in regards to his business and personal relationship with MJ. Sadly, our worst fears are confirmed in this lawsuit.

The estate is accusing Tohme of a bevy of misdeeds.  In the documents, the Estate accuses Tohme of bilking Michael Jackson of millions by making him sign "unconscionable" contracts awarding himself large sums of money.

They highlight:

1) Accounting fraud

2) Taking & Withholding MJ's properties (Money, real property, accounting books)

In a statement released to the media soon after the documents were filed, Estate attorney Howard Weitzman said he expected Tohme to file his own lawsuit.  "We believe the facts will show that Mr. Tohme's claims are meritless and that Mr. Tohme engaged in wrongdoing with respect to Michael Jackson starting early in their relationship"

Late yesterday, Tohme did file his own lawsuit against the Estate, asking for his Neverland-Colony Capital's finder's fee (10% of Colony's investment to save the ranch from foreclosure) and 15% of all Estate earnings since MJ's passing.

Court Date: March 28th 2012.

As Michael said many times he believed all the children of the world were “ours” so in that vein we dedicate these funds in honor of OUR son, Aaron. 

Andjustice4some's son Aaron has passed away on February 14, 2012. 

Andjustice4some is a well known and loved member of the MJ Community due to her informational blog posts and being an advocate of MJ. As you all know, we see each other as a family and Andjustice4some's loss is our loss. 

In a Michael Jackson fashion, we thought that the best way to remember and honor Aaron and express our condolences is to donate to St. Jude Children's Hospital in Aaron's name.

The Legend Continues...

Last Christmas Eve, we shared  with you,  the wonderful news that Gardner Elementary School officials were hard at work setting up the new music room in memory of the King of Pop, Michael Jackson.

Well, today, the LA Times is reporting that the project is nearing completion and the "Michael Jackson Music Education Lab" will have an open house, next Monday.

The Hollywood elementary school that saw Michael Jackson through sixth grade will host an open house for its Michael Jackson Music Education Lab on Monday morning. It's the second building the campus has dedicated to the singer; silver letters in front of the school auditorium already read "The Michael Jackson Auditorium." 

Gardner Street Elementary School plans to showcase the lab and new music curriculum during a small reception at 11:00 a.m.

The launch of the newly named lab will also feature the new MusIQ program, incorporating Adventus Software for the students of Gardner Street Elementary. The enhanced program will teach students fundamentals of music education, such as elements focusing on composition, arrangement and the ability to read music.

"This is only the second school in California to have this program; it's the first one in the LA Unified District," said Lesley Holmes, the founder and chairwoman for the Friends of Gardnerville, the non-profit organization that supports the elementary school and children by creating funding opportunities for educational programs.

The lab will have pictures of Jackson and a signed chalkboard.
"This was a room that Michael Jackson used when he attended the school in the sixth grade. His presence was made in musical contributions," said Holmes.

We met with Principal Kenneth Urbina at the School last week and promised him that the NYC fans will do the best we can to get this projector for the school. Once they have all the items they need, they will also have a small area in the back of the classroom set up as a Museum to honor Michael.

Despite public outcry, MSNBC has decided to go ahead with their documentary.  At the same time, giving a platform to a convicted felon to exploit his crime.

We are better than this.  We stand by the notion, no criminal should ever be allowed to profit from their crime.
